If you can't beat them, join them! When I moved to Sunriver 3 years ago I wanted to join the Sunriver Realty team. Due to a lack of desk space, they were not accepting any new agents at the time. In the interim I worked for another real estate company, waiting for my chance to become a Sunriver agent. That opportunity arrived and I have definitely made the RIGHT choice for the continuation of my real estate career.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
The variety of clients I meet, learning about their past experiences, the places they have lived and their individual jobs. Everyday brings something new, interesting and challenging.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR AREAS OF EXPERTISE?
Relocation and vacation ownership. After moving across the country many times with a family and pets, I have experienced many of the difficulties of relocation -- both the highs and lows and I have worked with clients from all backgrounds and housing preferences. My client's wants and needs come before my own personal preferences. I believe in advanced education. I have earned a Masters Degree. In the Real Estate profession I have a CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation obtained by only 5% of agents nationwide, a GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) and an ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative) designation. Constantly attending classes keeps me current of the latest technologies and trends to further help my clients and my business.

HOW DO YOU ENJOY CENTRAL OREGON?
All the seasons are special. The warm sunny days of summer allow us to go boating and fishing at the many nearby lakes or hang out with the family on our dock along the river. Floating the river on rafts is also a special treat. It also brings fun evenings around the fire pit or having a BBQ with friends. An occasional round of golf at one of the Sunriver courses (and others) is an enjoyable way to spend a vacation day. The crisp, cool evenings of spring and fall are times to take an evening walk with the dogs and enjoy a dip in the hot tub. The crystal snowflakes of winter bring many visitors to Sunriver to enjoy Mt. Bachelor and some to visit our home; good company, good food around a cozy fire.

•  RAVES ABOUT SUNRIVER AND CENTRAL OREGON FROM ONE OF MY LISTING CLIENTS!!Hey all, I had to list my beloved lot at Sunriver. ( I have listed the property with Gloria Smith, who has become my go-to friend and adviser for this area since meeting her many years ago when I attended one of her open houses. This lot is on the end circle of a cul-de-sac, a stone's throw away from the Deschutes River. At the end of the cul-de-sac is a short footpath that leads to one of the best bank areas of the river....open access (without reeds) for swimming or fishing or launching rafts or canoes. I was told if a two story house were built, the second story would have some river views. There is a migratory deer path that crosses the right side of the lot. We rented the house at 14 Plover (to the right of the lot) for a week one summer, just to experience living on this street. The does and fawns wind their way south early in the morning, and back in the early evening. We had so much fun as they would all come up to the back deck and we would feed them by hand. They would hang around and graze, and the fawns would bed down or nurse. It was the highlight at the end of each day to hang out with the local deer herd for an hour, and have a drink on the deck! Sunriver is a beautiful resort just south of Bend Or. and is located in the Deschutes National Forest. It has its own village for local dining and shopping, and Bend (about 10 miles north) has everything else! Sunriver is bicycle heaven, with paved paths throughout the resort. It also has its own small airport, riding stables, two golf courses, swimming pools, etc. Bachelor Mountain is a very short drive away, and is one of Oregon's premier ski resorts. The town of Sisters is close by, and has one of the biggest Quilt shows I have ever been to....it literally takes over the town for the weekend! This area of Central Oregon is absolutely gorgeous, where the volcanic tundra of east Oregon butts up to the east side of the Cascades. The weather is like the best of California, some light snow in the winter, and wonderful summers. This side of Oregon does not get the rainfall that is prevalent with the ocean side of the state. The area is heaven for the outdoor enthusiasts, with its lakes, rivers, volcanic formations and mountains for hiking and water sports. I have California friends whom have made this area their permanent home after vacationing here, and never wanting to leave. :-)
